e-fense is looking for motivated, experienced, intelligent software engineers for product development. Be part of a small innovative team building information security software products for the commercial and government sectors. Help establish the development methodologies and foundation technologies that will grow and shape the business. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Highly qualified candidates should have the following skills and experience:
BS or equivalent degree in Computer Science or related discipline 4+ years of software engineering experience Knowledge of object oriented methodologies Experience with XML , DOM parsing models, and XSLT transformations Background developing software for Windows Platforms using C, C++ Experience developing systems software in a Windows environment Experience developing networked applications, including an understanding of TCP/IP and common application protocols such as HTTP and SSL/TLS Understanding of building or using an extensibility framework for adding software features Understanding of filesystems such as NTFS, FAT, HFS, EXT3, XFS, etc
ADDITIONAL VALUED SKILLS
Experience developing systems software in MAC, Linux or BSD environments Web development skills on Microsoft and popular open-source web application platforms Background in developing scalable solutions for large infrastructure management problems (e.g., enterprise systems management or security monitoring tools) Experience with multiple programming languages, such as RealBasic,Ruby, Perl, and Python Background in information security disciplines, such as digital forensics, application/systems assessments, and incident response |
